Independent financial services company Nestor Partnership wanted a fitter, slicker web and a brand refresh.
Nestor Partnership’s Changing Horizon team are: Web Developer Daniel Wallace, Senior Designer Bridget Halldearn, Operations Manager Annette Ritson.
Changing Horizon Operations Manager Annette said:
“Nestor’s website’s main function is to provide their clients with information about products and services. It also needs to have distinct areas for different parts of the business, a document library and an integrated newsletter management system."

Changing Horizon Senior Designer Bridget drew on her background in fine art and theatre to breathe fresh life into the band without detracting from their professional identity. She said: “Nestor is a group of very experienced financial services professionals and they work with a lot of corporate clients. Their brand needed to reflect their quality and experience but it also needed to be distinct. We helped them project a brighter, more contemporary image and gave them a more powerful visual presence.
“Once we had that refreshed brand in place we worked with them to role it out across other promotional material from newsletters to Christmas cards. We work with them to help keep brand consistency across their business. They know that they can trust us to do that for them, which is really satisfying.”
“Bringing an abstract concept to life is a creative challenge but I enjoy getting it right. I will spend a long time puzzling over a problem and decide on the image we need before I go out looking for it. That way I can be sure that the message is clear. Images are crucial to communicating a brand but I would never use an image just because it was powerful. It has to say something relevant.”
Changing Horizons Web developer Dan said: “We helped them slim down from 200 plus pages into something leaner and more efficient. We worked on the look and feel of the site, creating distinct areas to help people navigate their way through by bringing in clear colour schemes and signposting on a fixed sidebar.
“To help them stay ahead of their competitors we worked on search engine optimization. Keeping the content fresh is the best way to gain brownie points with Google but daily updates can be onerous for web managers. We built the website so it can be easily and updated with Nestor’s own news and with automatic newsfeeds relevant to their sector.
Another piece of software magic ensures that these fresh pages are automatically passed onto the search engines, so every time there’s fresh content on the site, the search engines know about it.
